Take one 55-question timed test drawn at random from the 100-question pool across FPT9, FPT8, FPT7, and FPT6A. Your score report includes an estimated readiness band, and the official HiSET readiness guide is available below.
How HiSET scoring works
The Math subtest receives a scaled score from 1 to 20. Passing Math requires at least 8/20. Passing the full HiSET battery also requires a combined score of at least 45/100 and at least 2/6 on the Writing essay. Your state may have additional requirements.
Your score report also gives an estimated readiness band using the October 2025 HiSET guide. The estimate is approximate because the guide's cutoffs apply to specific 25-question forms while this test mixes questions from four forms. It cannot determine an official pass result: raw-to-scaled conversion depends on the test form, and some official questions may not count.
